“And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:19 NASB)
You have heard a couple of one-word answers when you pass by someone on the street or in the store. The most common one is “Hey.” Look, it is such a casual response that it does not even deserve an exclamation mark. It’s just “Hey.”
Here are some examples: Question: “How you doing? “Response: “Hey.” Question: “What’s up?” Response: “Hey.” Question: “How’s your day?” Response: “Hey.” Now to be fair, I will say that sometimes the response is accentuated, accented by a head nod, nothing else, just an upward movement of the head, not up and down, just an upward motion of the head. Maybe a smile and maybe not. The one-word answer does not change, “Hey.” I don’t know about you, but the one-word answer does nothing for me.
Wait a minute, I need to take that last statement back. There is a one-word answer that does something for me and an exclamation mark is fitting with this response. Let me show you. Question: “Who can make all my decisions for me?” The one-word answer: “Jesus!” Who can show me the right way? The one-word answer: “Jesus!” “Who can lift me up when I am down and put me in my right mind when my thinking and consequent behavior is messed up?” The one-word answer: “Jesus!” Question: “Who can I expect help from when the unexpected happens?” The one-word answer: “Jesus!” Question: “Who can I cast my cares and heavy burdens on?” The one-word answer: “Jesus!” Question: “Who can make me whole again?” The one-word answer: “Jesus!” Question: “Who can help me be better today than I was yesterday?” The one-word answer: “Jesus!”
I have one more example to share with you before you start your day. Question: Who died on the cross for me so that I might live, while I was yet a sinner?” The one-word answer: “Jesus!”
Share this meditation with others! Have a great day! Who loves you? “Jesus!” Be blessed!
“I know you got mountains that you think you cannot climb. I know that your skies have been dark, you think the sun won’t shine. In case you don’t know I’m here to tell you that the word of God is true. And everything that He promised, I tell you He would do it for you. Let me tell you that Jesus is the answer for the world today. above Him there’s no other, Jesus is the Way. (Lyrics by Andrae Crouch)
