THE PROOF

“Then God said, ‘Let there be light”: and there was light.” (Genesis 1:3 NASB)

In high school many of us were required to take Geometry.  One of the challenging tasks in that class was to solve mathematical premises or presumptions.  We would work diligently, determined to arrive at the correct answer and submit it for grading.  Granted, it took some of us longer than others, but we did the work.  While we learned something about mathematics and more importantly perhaps, more about deductive reasoning as a means or method to produce the correct answer, the teacher knew the correct response all the time.

Okay, stop sweating, I am not going to give you any geometry proofs to solve and please forgive me if I brought back memories of those days where the assignments in this specific, required, math class caused you to push your brain to the limits.  That’s not my intent.  My reason for bringing up the subject of proofs was to emphasize that the answer was already known by the educator in charge of the class.  Wait, I’m not done yet!  Yesterday there was a report of a telescope reaching over 400 billion light years away and comments were made about how scientists are getting closer to understanding creation; getting closer to the proof.   This might have caused some people to question their faith.  But not mine and surely not yours.  For the answer to the proof that intellectuals are searching for is already known.  God created light and all things.  We already know that God can lead forth a constellation in its season and guide a large bright star,  We already know that God fixed the ordinances of the heavens and their rule over the earth.  How great is our God!

Don’t let the announced discovery divert you from what you already know!  Keep pressing on in faith!  Have a great Wednesday!  Be blessed!

“Look up into the heavens.  Who created all the stars?  He brings them out like an army, one after another, calling each by its name.  Because of his great power and incomparable strength, not a single one is missing.” (Isaiah 46: 20 NLT)

Still committed to the climb,

Mark L. King
