THE STRONGER CORD

“And if one can overpower him who is alone, two can resist him. A cord of three strands is not quickly torn apart.” (Ecclesiastes 4:12 NASB)

This is an era where good jobs seem scarce and hard to find. It is a situation than messes with the sanity of one’s mind, especially as the clock of urgent needs and obligations continues to unwind. You apply online, and your resume looks fine, but the lack of responses make you ask, “Why no response at all?”, well, most of the time. Help wanted signs are being taken down, rejection letters make one frown. Isolated in your workspace at your home, you continue to press on, all alone.

My advice to you is to find friends to release your frustration, but not only that, so you can hear their every suggestion. Stay connected by meeting regularly and form a stronger cord and experience the benefit of being in one accord. This will help you keep from being overcome by Satan’s use of doubt and when you get down your friends will notice, and they will help bring you out. Sometimes you and your friends may be going through the same challenge, so while they help you, you can help them, so talk with each other and make it a super exchange.

The stronger cord often gets stronger because of the network that each strand has established. Now don’t you feel better, knowing what I told you and hasn’t your hope been refurbished?

One more thing I have to say, and I will say it in a rhyming way, “Let your worrying mind that was weak in your personal battle, call it a fight; let it be replaced with optimism, knowing it will not always be like night. Pray to the Lord to move away the clouds in your way, and while you wait for an answer, of course, faithful you must stay. Have a great day! Smile! Form the cord! Be blessed!

“Two are better than one because they have a good return for their labor; for if either of them falls, the one will lift up his companion. But woe to the one who falls when there is not another to lift him up!” (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 NASB)

P.S. Refer someone who you know can benefit from this meditation. Thank you!

  1. Thank you for the timely message of encouragement. I will share the message with my fellow job seekers at Passport 2Employment! Having a circle of godly friends helps. I have just received a note of encouragement from a friend. May God continue to create synergy in our lives. Praise Him for all of our seasons of lives.
When God by our side, 1 plus 1 = 4! (God the father, Jesus, Holy Spirit and you🙏!)
