“THINK ABOUT THE RIPPLE EFFECT”

“I alone cannot change the world, but I can cast a stone across the waters to create many ripples.” (Quote by Mother Theresa)

You have had a positive impact on others by living up to your expectations as a Christian.  Bravo!  If a wide smile monopolized your face and it seemed like an invisible halo was hanging over your head, that’s alright!  Your instructions, your inclination to sacrifice for the sake of others, your invitation of others to step higher on the staircase of life, your inspiration, and your insistent, unstoppable, godly example that others could follow, as you followed Christ, paid off!

Didn’t it feel great to see a child whose future was questionable at one point graduate?  Wasn’t it a feeling of joy when a person who you have not seen for five years or even a longer length of time, came up to you and said, “Do you remember me?”   Once your memory was jogged, you were extremely happy about their new profession  and career success!

I’m far from perfect, but I will admit how proud I am of my children.  When I see them working hard in their respective areas of expertise, and when I complement them, they make comments like, “We got it from you!”  Thank God they got some of the good stuff from me!  (Stop laughing now!)

During this season of holidays, graduations, open houses, weddings, and the start of new careers, know that our lives are like pebbles, stones thrown into the water that produced a number of rings around the place where the pebble hit the water.  Each ring represents a succeeding generation that has been and will be impacted in years to come, by you, the pebble, in a most positive way.  Do you see the ripple effect.  Now don’t discount your effect if you perhaps think your pebble was small, it was still positive, and you will never know how far it will go and what the positive outcomes will occur.

All of us can benefit other by being positive pebbles in the lives of those we come into contact with on our Christian journey.  So going forward, regardless of the length of your interaction with a person, strive to have a positive pebble effect.  And listen, if that person goes further than you, praise God.  That’s what the pebble effect should do.  And furthermore, it should reach their children and grandchildren, great grandchildren, and many others.  The pebble effect is perpetual.  Caution: Strive to ensure that your pebble is characterized by righteousness versus unrighteousness, light versus darkness, and obedience versus sin.

I’ve said enough!  Therefore, keep beaming with joy today for all you have done to enhance the lives of those around you.  Then, after a time of celebration and conscious realization that you have done a good thing, continue to be a pebble that starts a ripple that changes the life of others for good.

Be a pebble showing the importance of not forsaking the assembly of the saints tomorrow when you attend church!  Enjoy your day!  Think about the ripple effect!  Keep being a good pebble!  Keep being an obedient pebble, like Abraham, and know many generations, groups of people you will never see in this life; know that they will be blessed because of you!  Be blessed!

“God told Abram: “Leave your country, your family, and your father’s home for a land that I will show you.  I’ll make you a great nation and bless you.  I’ll make you famous; you’ll be a blessing.  I’ll bless those who bless you; those who curse you I’ll curse.  All the families of the Earth will be blessed through you.” (Genesis 12:1-3 The Message Bible)

Still committed to the climb,
