TIME FOR A TIME CHALLENGE

“And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.” Romans 12:2 NASB)

Here is a real, relevant challenge for you this Friday. Consider how much time you spend reading the bible versus the time you spend on your electronic devices. Statistics suggest that people spend far less time in the word of God and, in my opinion, way too much on our devices.

People, adults and children, seem to always be on their cellphone, iPad, of laptop. For example, when you go into a restaurant, you see a multitude of people on their smartphone, texting, responding to emails, working instead of relaxing, reading messages, looking at sites for entertainment, and unfortunately allowing the content of some sites to influence them to thinking that good is bad, and messaging unconsciously and consciously that how you have “fun” has no limitations. Add on to that my observation that the definition of “bad language” has been changed to approve of words that once were never allowed to be uttered aloud.

Back to the challenge. Consider how much time you spend reading the bible versus the time you spend on your electronic devices. Accept the challenge! Appraise your conclusion! Agree to spend more time in the word! Yes, dd some more time in to be strengthened by God’s word. Love you! Oh, you don’t have to text me back. Smile! Be blessed!

“Your word is like a lamp that guides my steps, a light that shows the path I should take.” (Psalm 119:105 Easy-to-Read Translation)

Committed to the climb,
