UNFINISHED PROJECTS

“I am convinced and confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will [continue to] perfect and complete it until the day of Christ Jesus [the time of His return].” (Philippians 1:6 The Amplified Bible)

Here’s your Monday Short Meditation!  There is one home décor show where the stars, professional decorators and premier designers come in and complete a partially finished remodel or rehab project that the homeowners started, but they come to the wise decision that they needed help to finish.  The project turned out to be harder than they could handle alone, and they desperately needed specialists to complete the work.  It took some time on various shows, and in some cases, not all the work could be done in a short period of time, due to the resources need to do more.  At the end of those shows, progress was made, things looked better, but there was more work to be done.  It was an unfinished project.  I’m not sure that the homeowners continued the remaining work.  There was no sequel.  But I hope they finished.

As believers, we are all unfinished projects.  The Lord is not done with us yet.  But unlike the uncertainty regarding the homeowner’s continuing to complete the work, as you can detect from the verse above, the Divine is not done working on us yet!  Rest assured He has the resources to see it through to completion.  The work He started on you will one day be done, and you will see the progress from day to day.

We may be in the incomplete stage at the present time, but the day is coming when we will no longer be unfinished projects.  Perfect will be the term used to describe the finished work!  Praise the One who specializes for continuing to   steadily, mercifully, compassionately, and patiently work on us!  Say, “Thank you Jesus!”  Now, go experience a great Monday as the Lord works on you, His project, His special unfinished project!  Yes, you are special!  Be blessed!

“And this I pray, that your love may abound more and more [displaying itself in greater depth] in real knowledge and in practical insight, so that you may learn to recognize and treasure what is excellent [identifying the best, and distinguishing moral differences], and that you may be pure and blameless until the day of Christ [actually living lives that lead others away from sin]; filled with the fruit of righteousness which comes through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God [so that His glory may be both revealed and recognized]. (Philippians 1:9-11 The Amplified Bible)

Still committed to the climb,
