Yes, if you by chance read this on your phone out of habit, and you have to fight to do it, “Wake Up!” You need to get to the house of the Lord this morning. If you by chance missed Sunday School, you can make it to morning service on time. You just need to “Wake Up!”
Furthermore, If you have been insensitive in any way to the fact that you have not only been saved from eternal death, but you have been saved from the power of sin in your life, in any degree, small or great, you need to “Wake Up!” Let me say it another way. If you have been sleepwalking and ended off the narrow path of righteousness, “Wake Up!”
Read the passage below and be motivated not just to get to service today but be motivated by recognizing that it is time to get better. As my father used to say weekly, “It’s time to get right with God and do it now!” As one preacher said a few decades ago, “It’s high time” that you awaken from your sleep. Have a great service! Be blessed!
“But make sure that you don’t get so absorbed and exhausted in taking care of all your day-by-day obligations that you lose track of the time and doze off, oblivious to God. The night is about over, dawn is about to break. Be up and awake to what God is doing! God is putting the finishing touches on the salvation work he began when we first believed. We can’t afford to waste a minute, must not squander these precious daylight hours in frivolity and indulgence, in sleeping around and dissipation, in bickering and grabbing everything in sight. Get out of bed and get dressed! Don’t loiter and linger, waiting until the very last minute. Dress yourselves in Christ and be up and about!” (Romans 13:11-14 The Message Bible)
