“By faith, barren Sarah was able to become pregnant, old woman as she was at the time, because she believed the One who made a promise would do what he said. That’s how it happened that from one man’s dead and shriveled loins there are now people numbering into the millions.” (Hebrew2 11:11-12 The Message Bible)
After yesterday’s lengthy meditation, I thought I would be brief this morning. Depending on how you read the scripture above, it will be rated “F” for “funny”, or “F” for “faith.” You can look at it through the eyes of a comedian, or you can look at it through the eyes of Christian who is God conscious. Perhaps you can do both.
Looking at it from the former way, from a funny perspective, the verses above will have women readers saying, as they consider Sarah, “Oh my!” Men, looking at the same verses from the former way, through the comedian’s eye, have you emulating a famous actor and saying, “My man!”
Now looking at thee verses above from the latter way, from a faith perspective, you will conclude either nothing is impossible with God, or you will identify with the definition of faith, as written in the verse below.
Have a great Saturday! Show your faith and show up for church tomorrow! By faith, the word says, you can gain understanding! Be sure to go get it! So, do so! Okay? Be blessed!
“The fundamental fact of existence is that this trust in God, this faith, is the firm foundation under everything that makes life worth living. It’s our handle on what we can’t see. The act of faith is what distinguished our ancestors, set them above the crowd.” (Hebrews 11:1-2 The Message Bible)
Still committed to the climb,
