“Let the Lord give strength to his people! Let the Lord bless his people with peace! “(Psalm 29:11 Contemporary English Bible)
At the end of the week, at times, after giving your all at work, on the home front, during your church work, and in fighting crisis and circumstances that confront you, including current and continuing grief, which is natural, if any of these situations are threatening to bring you down, you need a word from the Lord.
And if the devil tried to raid your mind as you rested at night, resulting in you either dwelling on things from your past or devoting time to worrying about the future; if the adversary reaches into your thoughts, really putting forth an effort to put your hope in a dormant state, you need a word from the Lord.
Even if you are “all good” right now, in the future whenever you feel emotionally drained and essentially depressed, you will need to be prepared in advance. You need a word from the Lord.
Well guess what? I got just what you need this morning! Yes, a fitting word from the Lord. The passages above and below should be helpful, and have you feeling uplifted, and keep you moving upward on your spiritual journey. Short meditation, finally? Yes! A blessing, regardless? Yes! At least, I hope so! Be blessed!
“Is anyone crying for help? God is listening, ready to rescue you. If your heart is broken, you’ll find God right there; if you’re kicked in the gut, he’ll help you catch your breath. Disciples so often get into trouble; still, God is there every time.” (Psalm 34:17-19 The Message Bible)
