WHOA THERE!

There is a lot of buzz about the solar eclipse which will take place on April 8, 2024. But hold up! Whoa there! Yes, those in the direct path of the eclipse will see the sky change to a silvery, purply blue color, but it will not be 100% dark. But listen! Today you ought to stop your focusing on making sure your refrigerator is full, your car gas tank is filled, and all the additional things you might do on this hyped-up day ahead in April. Instead, your ought to be focusing on today, the right now, this Good Friday, the day that we remember the death of Jesus Christ on the cross, where He paid the debt for our sins. And if you really are amazed at darkness in the middle of the afternoon, darkness in totality, just recall what you have often heard, “Two suns cannot shine at the same time.” In other words, while Christ, the SON, was dying for us on Golgotha, on a hill far away, serving as our unblemished Lamb who sacrifice His life to take away the sins of the world, there was darkness in the land. Do you need proof? Well, read the closing verse. After doing so, put a “whoa” on thinking about the phenomena of the created things lining up, the earth, the moon, and the sun, a spectacle that will occur on April 8, and devote some time to focusing on the One who the Bible says, “All things were created for Him, by Him.” Think about Jesus’ sacrifice, willingly giving His life, being obedient to God the Father. Good Friday was a bad day for the activity of Jesus’ opponents, but it was indeed a good day on which the Father’s best was in the process of fulfilling prophesy, and in preparing a way for us to reconcile with God, to have peace with God. Give the Lord some praise this morning, whether you attend a formal service or not today! Praise Him anyway!  And listen, Sunday is coming!  Resurrection Sunday is coming!  Be blessed!

“It was now about the sixth hour (noon), and darkness came over the whole land until the ninth hour (3:00 p.m.), because the sun was obscured; and the veil [of the Holy of Holies] of the temple was torn in two [from top to bottom]. And Jesus, crying out with a loud voice, said, “Father, into Your hands I commit My spirit!” Having said this, He breathed His last.” (Luke 23:44-46 The Amplified Bible)

Committed to the climb,
