YOU ARE NOT TOO OLD!

“Young people, it’s wonderful to be young! Enjoy every minute of it. Do everything you want to do; take it all in. But remember that you must give an account to God for everything you do. So, refuse to worry, and keep your body healthy. But remember that youth, with a whole life before you, is meaningless.” (Ecclesiastes 11:9-10 NLT)

You may think you are too old for Sunday School or Vacation Bible School. Well, I have a news flash for you, “You are not too old.” Certainly you, evident by your reading this meditation, realize that you have reached an age where admonitions, assignments, and assuring you are equipped to live a God-conscious and a Christ-centered life is ongoing through the believer’s days on earth. But I’m sure you know somebody who needs to hear this same message, whether they think they are grown because they our eighteen-years-old or if they have been blessed to see their “golden years” and they are close to eighty-years-old. Tell them, “The Lord has need of you.” And before they can say anything, before they can state an excuse, tell them, “You are not too old.”

Keep doing what you are doing in serving the Lord outside the church and in the church, as well as not forsaking the assembly of the saints. Don’t forget, “You are not too old.”

God can use you even when you have reached your senior years. Ask Noah! Ask Abraham! Ask Sarah! Ask Caleb! Ask John the Apostle! Let me say one more thing in this short meditation: “Regardless of your age, let God use you!” Have a wonderful day! Be blessed!

“The righteous person will flourish like the palm tree. He will grow like a cedar in Lebanon.
Planted in the house of the Lord, they will flourish in the courtyards of our God. They will still yield fruit in advanced age; they will be full of sap and very green.” (Psalm 92:12-14 NASB)
