“We are all in agreement—we administrators, officials, high officers, advisers, and governors—that the king should make a law that will be strictly enforced. Give orders that for the next thirty days any person who prays to anyone, divine or human—except to you, Your Majesty—will be thrown into the den of lions. And now, Your Majesty, issue and sign this law so it cannot be changed, an official law of the Medes and Persians that cannot be revoked.” So King Darius signed the law. But when Daniel learned that the law had been signed, he went home and knelt down as usual in his upstairs room, with its windows open toward Jerusalem. He prayed three times a day, just as he had always done, giving thanks to his God.” (Daniel 6:7-10 NLT)
The young man, fresh out of high school, was told by many that he could not work full-time and go to school full time, expecting to graduate in four years. Guess what? The young man did it anyhow!
A high school senior was told that she might as will get a job at the steel mill, rather than trying to go to college. Guess what? The senior did it anyhow! As a matter of fact, went as far to earn a doctorate and a specialized certification. She has also been published and presented on an international gathering of erudite professionals and distinguished peers. Thank God for “Anyhow!”
A young boy was told that he should get a real job and that music would not take him anywhere. Guess what? The young boy did it anyhow. He grew up to be a professional musician, playing with a number of great artists.
After being laid off during a cutback during the height of the pandemic, friends suggested to one individual that he should get out of the radio industry and stop pursuing a career in the entertainment field. Guess what? He did it anyhow. Now he is the host of a nationwide, syndicated radio show. The Lord is good! Praise Him for “Anyhow!”
A college boy was told that he should not pursue a relationship with a certain girl, that he should stop trying to win her over. Guess what? He did it anyhow! Now, they have been married about fifty years. I might add that they are equally yoked and their faith in God and belief in Jesus, the Son of God, and his principles of love, forgiveness, and quick reconciliation has kept them together. His principles will keep you together, no matter what, or shall we say, “anyhow!”
Listen, somebody is telling you to stop praying because you are in that” He may not come when you want Him too” stage, and you are still waiting for your answered prayer. But guess what you should do? Pray anyhow! Surely, Daniel was blessed when he was thrown in the lion’s den? Why? I believe because He prayed, anyhow! The same will happen for you.
If you ever get tired of being one of the faithful few, guess what! Keep being faithful! Remain steadfast and immovable. Do it, anyhow!
Somebody or something will try to keep you from worship tomorrow, and that “somebody” might even be yourself. But guess what you should do? Go to church anyhow! The Lord will bless you immediately and down the line.
Enjoy your Saturday! Enter into the Lord’s house tomorrow! Elevate you voice and praise the Lord! If everybody else is quiet, you praise Him with a loud voice…anyhow! Whatever others do…you live a God-conscious life…anyhow! Be blessed!
Very early the next morning, the king got up and hurried out to the lions’ den. When he got there, he called out in anguish, “Daniel, servant of the living God! Was your God, whom you serve so faithfully, able to rescue you from the lions?” Daniel answered, “Long live the king! My God sent his angel to shut the lions’ mouths so that they would not hurt me, for I have been found innocent in his sight. And I have not wronged you, Your Majesty.” (Daniel 6:19-22 NLT)
Still committed to the climb,
