MARCH GLADNESS!

It’s March 2026 and our world is filled with sadness, madness, and anxiousness. For those reasons, people of all ages are filled with stress. To escape that which fills our world, a lot of folks turn to March Madness, the NCAA men’s and women’s basketball tournaments. However, not everybody has resorted to March Madness to get away from what I have described, which extends to include more stress stimulators, such as the fact that every day we hear broadcast filled with bad news, bad behaviors in high places, bad economic reports, and bad job employment opportunity trends. Listen! Whether you are checking your brackets and watching the various teams compete; whether you are entwined in viewing March Madness to release kilowatts of anxiety or not, let me give you some March Gladness to lift you up today.

Escape the noise of this world by making a joyful noise and serving the Lord with gladness! Remember that it is the Lord who can fill you with gladness! Revel in gladness knowing that suffering only last for a nighttime, but joy comes in the morning! I’m just trying to give you some March Gladness this morning.

Friend, act on the fact that you don’t have to be in the sanctuary to worship the Lord with gladness! Call to your mind the fact that the Lord is your strength and shield, Trust Him with all your heart! He helps you, and when He does, your heart is filled with joy! You can even be like the Psalmist and burst out with songs of thanksgiving.  Are you feeling some March Gladness yet? Just in case you are not feeling it yet, let me continue.

If you want some March Gladness, just think of God’s goodness to you! Think about His grace and mercy! Realize that you have been blessed to see a new day! Therefore, take the words of the Psalmist to heart, “This is the day that the Lord has made! I will rejoice and be glad in it!”  Let me bring to your attention a few words form a hymn that includes the fact that we have a Savior and He’s sweet I know! Dark clouds may rise! Strongs winds may blow, but we have a Savior, and He is sweet, I know!”

Do you want some March Gladness? Well then, fellow believer, be glad because of your security in the hand of the Lord!  Praise God! Smile! Be blessed!

“The sheep that are My own hear My voice and listen to Me; I know them, and they follow Me. And I give them eternal life, and they will never, ever [by any means] perish; and no one will ever snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater and mightier than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand. I and the Father are One [in essence and nature].”( John 10: 27-30 The Amplified Bible)

  1. For me, gladness extends beyond just the month of March. I did break out in song this morning thinking of the goodness of the Lord, Rev. Clay Evans’ song, I’m Blessed came to mind that lifted me up to praise and worship right here in my home, by myself with the Lord. Someone repeated the words in the song, “If you want to see a miracle, just look at me.” I believe we can all say that. In any case, I want to repeat the words in the song, “Thank God I’m blessed.”

    1. be glad every day! He has been good to you! He has blessed you! And do you know what’s great about that fact? Well, I will tell you! Others see how the Lord has blessed you and your gladness has impacted many! Keep it up! Be blessed!
