OUR DISCIPLINE

Yes, this is your Monday Short meditation. The subject, “Our Discipline.” On my work area walls in my house, there are three wall hangings. On deals with “Success,” and another relates to “Ambition.” The one that caught my attention this morning is the one that bears the title “Discipline.” I reads as follows:

DISCIPLINE

(noun)

Hard work beats talent.

Work hard in silence.

Let your success make the noise.

These were my thoughts as I look at the wall hanging above:

Hard work as a devoted follower of Christ beats talent. For He amplifies your talent and equips you to do all things well, because of your devotion. He can even take a little and do much more than we would ever suspect.

Work hard in silence. The Lord sees your work and the fanfare and loud approval of the world is not necessary. The Lord, He will reward you for your work for the sake of His kingdom.

Let your success make the noise. You may not hear it, but heaven is rejoicing about your progress on the journey through life!

Our discipline? Well, those were my thoughts on our discipline when I read the wall hanging. What are yours? Have a great day! Be blessed!

“Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses [who by faith have testified to the truth of God’s absolute faithfulness], stripping off every unnecessary weight and the sin which so easily and cleverly entangles us, let us run with endurance and active persistence the race that is set before us.” (Hebrews 12:1 The Amplified Bible)

Committed to the climb,

  1. Good Moring, here is mine “One small postive thought in the morning can change your whole day. ” Your thoughts influence your attitude. When you focus on something positive, you are more likely to approach challenges with patience and confidence.Philippians 4:8 reminds us to focus our thoughts on things that are true, honorable, right, pure, lovely, and worthy of praise. Have a great day.

  2. Amen. Discipline can be uncomfortable and difficult to achieve a state of discipline. Even when I don’t think I’m making progress, the Lord knows that the discipline to which I hold myself accountable, is shaping my life for the better. To God be the glory.

    1. To God be the glory, indeed! Thank God for He knows all about us and just what we need. Thanks for being a faithful follower! Be blessed!
