This is a serious meditation! Listen carefully! Pay attention! We can help the aforementioned wish expressed by Nelson Mandela come true When I say, “We,” I am referring to parents, grandparents, church folks, and other adults who should be serving as role models for our children. How can we help the children of our time be the scriptwriters of their destiny where they are the stars pointing to a brighter future? Here is how! We can serve as their scriptwriter assistants.
In a world where the modeling of sinful behavior sways the thinking of our young people. In this day and time when evil, darkness, and the devastating elevation of mystical thoughts and wicked imagination have invaded social media, movies, and books in print, our children need scriptwriter assistants to help them write their scripts of life.
Yes! Yes! We need to help them include righteousness, goodness, light and the lifting up of masterful truths found in the word of God, and an elevation of the Creator, definitely not putting anything in His creation above Him. To be the best scriptwriter assistants we can be, we need to model how one walks upward on the narrow path of righteousness toward a brighter future, one that is eternal. We need to let the children see that God is real and there is a reality in serving and worshipping our true and living God. If we want to be effective scriptwriter assistants, we have to stay connected with our children so that when a line, a paragraph, a page, or a chapter is being drafter, influenced by the modeling in portrayed in the world today, ungodly things that threatens to keep their souls in bondage, and will cause them to fail when it comes to aligning their will with the will of God. As effective scriptwriters, we can lead them to the truth that will set them free. I’m still being serious.
For you who have children living in your home, don’t let them drift into the worship of false gods or the exalting of creation instead of the Creator. Be an effective scriptwriter’s assistant. Please note, we cannot give them a leave of absence in their early years where they are able to independently decide who their scriptwriters will be as they grow towards adulthood. If we do, the final product will be filled with consequences that could have been avoided. We have to stop praying that they will understand it better by and by and guide them as scriptwriter assistants in the way that they should go. Our children need to cross out any expression that elevates karma over the sovereignty of God, and that focus on fate and not faith. Be a good scriptwriter assistant. Applaud their creativity but keep them in tune with the Creator. Need I say more?
