Picture the following scenarios. A fiver-year old brother looks down at his younger brother and says, “I’m older than you.” The dad enters the room and upon hearing the words of his older son, he says to the five-year old, “You are both young. When you get to be my age, thirty-five years old, you will know what it means to be old.”
Then there is the sixty-five old woman who was on the phone with a customer sales representative. When asked her age, she reluctantly responded, “I’m too old to consider what you are offering.” The sales representative on the other end of the lone says, “Ma’am I think you are still young. I’m eighty-three years old.”
Now, you probably are thinking that I am going to say, “Age is just a number,” or “The meaning of “old” is relative” Still you may be guessing that my next statement was going to be, “Regardless of your age, remember God, and be thankful for all the years you have been blessed to see.”
Those were good speculations. I could have used either of those anticipated statements to make a point. However, that is not the case. I just want to say to you, first of all. make sure you are one of the righteous ones. Second, as one of the righteous ones, whether you consider your age to be in the young group or old category, God’s got you. Rejoice! Reduce your stress level. God will never leave you or abandon you. He will take care of you and yours. That’s good news! That’s eases any concerns about the age of the righteous ones. Praise God, my friend, and live in such a confident way that onlookers can easily identify you as one of the righteous ones! Be blessed!

It’s good to know that regardless of the spectrum of years of age, God is still concerned about me. I don’t usually think of myself as righteous. Yet when you put it in the words of onlookers recognizing that you are one of the righteous ones, I do see myself as one of His righteous children. This past Sunday an onlooker stated she recognized the group of us sitting together that she could tell we were JWs–Jehovah’s Witnesses. One of our group members indicated that she was a witness for Jehovah, just not in the same way the onlooker referenced.
