“And the Lord said to me, “Write my answer on a billboard, large and clear, so that anyone can read it at a glance and rush to tell the others.” (Habakkuk 2:2 The Living Bible)
Today, while attending worship service at your church, when your pastor says, “Write this down!” as he preaches the word, think about the words in the tennis shoe commercial that says, “Just do it!” Write it down!
Now don’t just scribble a few words, but on top of your verbal amens and praise God assenting, that creates a dynamic interaction between pew and pulpit, take some legible, easy to read notes. Write them large and clear so you can revisit them later or that they may be read where you set them, in a displayed place, in your home or at work. This just might benefit those who opted not to be in the assembly of the saints, as some do.
One more thing! If your church bulletin does not have enough space, bring a notebook or a journal. Don’t forget a pen! Enjoy being in the special presence of the Lord. Be blessed!
“But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be glory, both now and forever. Amen.” 2 Peter 3:18 (Modern English Version)
Committed to the climb,

Amen Dr M! When God speaks we all need to write that down! He always has something profound to say! May God bless your faithfulness!
Agree! We need to couple retention with revisiting what message the Lord sends to us! Thanks for your response! Be blessed!
It is always important to take notes for a better chance to review and be reminded of the message. Recently I started taking notes on my ipad with a special program to note the name of the speaker, the date, the scripture, and the topic. The remaining three to four sections leave room for the points if applicable. I do lose my place sometimes between listening and trying to keep up with the thought reflected. By having our service recorded I am able to view the service and pick up the pieces that were omitted. If I didn’t take notes, I would miss out on a very specific message, sent by a specific messenger for a specific purpose.
Good tip on taking advantage of technology and watching the recorded service again. It does help! Be blessed!
