One of the specific points that registered with me was that Jesus will change you over time. This was verified by several biblical examples and validated with the closing verse you will read at the end of this meditation. My bulletin was filled with sermon note. The message was rich. On of my notations says, “Jesus did not see Peter you as a fisherman, but as an Apostle. He did not see Bartholomew as a tax collector, but He saw Him as an evangelist.”
Listen, my friend! You may be a diamond in the rough, but how valuable you will be when God gets through with you. As Pastor pointed out, “Others may see you on the surface, but God sees on the inside and recognizes your potential. People may see you in the present, but the Lord sees you in the future.” Guess what! God sees something special in you right now! You may think of yourself as a diamond in the rough, but the Lord is working on and will continue to work on you to bring out the best of you, for Him. Let Him have His way. Be blessed!

This is an evident fact–I am a diamond in the rough. The Lord keeps shaping me for His purpose. I know He has a purpose for me. I know I am valuable in His sight. I will keep serving Him and give Him the glory.
