DIFFERENCES

“We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not despairing; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.” (2 Corinthians 4:8-9 NASB)

This is your Sunday Share meditation, comprised of a seven of the numerous notes that are scribbled on my bulletin. Notes that I wrote down as Rev. Marcus R. King, Salt Of The Earth Church (Indianapolis) spoke a powerful message from the text above using the title, “I’m Still Standing.” I encouraged you, as always to listen to the richness of the word Pastor delivered on the church’s Facebook Page or Home Page. You will be blessed.

This morning, I just want to share something that I took away about the differences that come from having Jesus in our life. I’ll be brief.

  1. There is a difference in being under pressure and being brought down by pressure. (Jesus makes the difference!)
  2. There is a difference between questions and quitting. (Again, Jesus makes the difference. He is the answer.)
  3. Life has its storms, but when you trust in Jesus as your Savior, you can say, “I’m still standing!) (One more time! Jesus makes the difference.)
  4. There is a difference between our confidence level when we depend on God’s presence. (With Him confidence comes. Without Him, we lack confidence.)
  5. There is a difference when you focus on what the storm can do and what the storm cannot do. (The difference is determined when your focus is on what God can do.)
  6. There is a difference between scars over time. Scars become our testimony of what the Lord brought us through. Praise God!
  7. There is a difference in how conditions affect you when you are in the Lord. When you are in the Lord, your condition is not your conclusion.

Listen! Being in the assembly of the saints is beneficial! It not only makes you feel like going on, but the word you receive equips you, enables you to keep going on! Have a great Thursday! Be blessed!

Committed to the climb,

Mark L. King

  1. Great notes. The Sunday shares are always beneficial to me. I can review what was preached and share it. I love the message, “I’m Still Standing.”

    1. Yes, Sunday Shares help us review and usually needed noting how much we typically retained when we hear any type of presentation. Be blessed!
