“God is a Spirit (a spiritual Being) and those who worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth (reality).” (John 4:24 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition)
As you engage in personal evangelism, inevitably you will run into some folks who will want to argue about the divine origin and nature of the Bible. My advice is, as follows: “Don’t Debate, Just Declare.” Maintain your peaceful, loving, and patient disposition when individuals you witness to object to your belief in the word of God on the basis of the writers of the Bible, pointing to ethnicity, race, nationality, the color of one’s skin, or they object by defending their position based on the writers and interpreters of the Scriptures being human.
Maintain your Christ-like disposition and state the truth in such a way as not to elevate the interaction with an obstinate person into a debate. Monitor your tone and body language and declare that God is not a human being and then recite the opening verse to validate your words. Follow that by sharing the closing verse below. Listen! You may not always convince others but give the unbelieving person something to think about.
Then, my friend, continue to be obedient to the Great Commission as you work to recruit and retain disciples in the kingdom. Continue serving as a bridge for the lost, realizing and identifying with the fact that you are a member of a royal priesthood, and help others come out of darkness into the marvelous light. Be blessed!
“Every Scripture is God-breathed (given by His inspiration) and profitable for instruction, for reproof and conviction of sin, for correction of error and discipline in obedience, [and] for training in righteousness (in holy living, in conformity to God’s will in thought, purpose, and action).” (2 Timothy 3:16 Amplified Bible Classic Edition)

This is profitable as we continue to strive toward taking the first step to reach out to others. Prayerfully, there won’t be any doubt in the person’s mind about Jesus being the Son of God and our Savior. Bless you for these encouraging and methods of engaging you provide.
I was trying to equip the saints to love obstinate folks into the church; folks who avoid the Bible, justifying it was written by man. Thank you always for responding. I can depend on you for encouragement and motivation. We all need it! Be blessed!
