What I’m about to say may seem like I’m transparently griping and complaining, but I’m not. Instead, I am hoping! Let me explain. The markwritesdaily.com admin site does not give me any metrics to determine exactly how many people are reading the meditation published on any given day. Instead, I have to look at the replies for a handful of regular responders, and occasional surprise responses. And then there are days when some reader informs me that a specific meditation spoke specifically to them. All that feedback is appreciated, but again, how do I really know without the metrics? I think about the fact that I have written close to 2 million words over the last nine and a half years, and without feedback, it leaves me hoping that I am making a difference in the lives of others; helping them stay God-conscious and Christ-centered, as well as joining me in being committed to the climb. I can only hope.
Bless you for reading these daily meditations! I don’t seek any compensation. I’m just doing what God put on my heart to do. I’m just trying to help somebody along the way. I don’t seek a flood of compliments related to the content. It is not an expressed requirement that every single day I receive an overflow of messages expressing thankfulness from readers. Let me get back to my “hoping.”
I hope you don’t do God like that! He desires your response every day for the grace and mercy that He shows you! He deserves your thanksgiving for all that He has done for you. So, let me be repetitive, “Don’t do God like that!” Stop and thank Him right now! Love you, my friend! Be blessed!
P.S. Plan to attend church tomorrow!
“O give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever.” (Psalm 136:1 Revised Standard Version!)
Committed to the climb,
Mark L. King
“Your words aren’t wandering — they’re being sent. Isaiah 55:11 says God’s word never returns void; it accomplishes what He sends it to do. Keep writing what He’s told you to write. It’s already finding the person who needs it.” Thank You Be Blessed
Thank you for the words of encouragement! Be blessed!
If these dynamic meditations don’t reach everyone, or everyone that reads them do not respond, stay the course anyway. God has given you a significant assignment. You have been faithful in your commitment to His call for you. You will never know how many lives you touch. Only God will know that. So, even if only one person responds, don’t think this word did not reach multiple hearts. I am selfishly grateful for your commitment.
Thank you, Dr. Gloria! Thanks for putting in the perspective of an assignment from God. You are right and reminding me that even if one person is touch, my living has not been in vain. Praise God! Be blessed!
