“I trust your love, and I feel like celebrating because you rescued me. You have been good to me, Lord, and I will sing about you.” (Psalm 13:5-6 Contemporary English Version)
Last week I appealed to readers, requested followers, to respond in one of my meditations, explaining to me the saying, “God is good all the time.” To be honest, I thought my replies by readers would be so great that I could not publish every explanation given to me. I expected a flood, but I got just a couple of precious and perfect trinkles. You know what? Guess what! I only got two (2) responses from the faithful; only two “DYO” (Do Your Own) explanations on the markwritesdaily.com site. At first, I was sunk low, but I was reminded, “Don’t let the metrics make a difference, because if you help one or two people stay God-conscious and Christ-Centered, I am making a major difference.” Praise God for sending the right word at the right time. My sunken demeanor surged higher. By the way, the reminder was a specific message, specifically for me by a specific messenger. So, I press on! For God is truly good.
Let me move on. Keeping my promise that I would publish what was submitted, let me share what I received, responses that explain why we can say, “God is good all the time.”
L.T. said: “Psalm 100:5 says, “For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.” God is good in His character. God is good in His mercy. God is good in His faithfulness. We may experience disappointment, loss, rejection, or difficult seasons. That does not mean God has stopped being good. God’s goodness is greater than our circumstances. FYI: God is good—even when life doesn’t feel good.”
Dr. G. said, “God is good all of the time. Even when we can’t see what He is doing, God is good. He creates barriers to keep us from falling into a failing situation. He puts up walls to keep us from running into a catastrophe at a dangerous intersection. He keeps the highways and the byways clear so that we can get to and from safely. He encourages us when we don’t feel worthy. I tell you, God is good all of the time.”
Remember what you have just read when you enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise this Sunday morning! Be blessed!
“Enter with the password: “Thank you!” Make yourselves at home, talking praise. Thank him. Worship him. For God is sheer beauty, all-generous in love, loyal always and ever” (Psalm 100:4-5 The Message Bible).
Committed to the climb,
Mark L. King
God is good. This is a blessed way to start my Sunday morning, preparing to head to the house of the Lord. May God continue to help you and me rise above the circumstances because, God is good.
Yes, let us say unto the Lord, “Let it rise” within us. Thanks for your responses. Be blessed!
