In my high school days, when you played on a basketball team, passing behind your back or dribbling through your legs, or dribbling behind the back were considered showboating. All that has changed in the present times. It is not called showboating, but it referred to as skill. Things have changed.
That’s basketball. But when it comes to your Christian lifestyle, these words still apply, “No showboating.” That’s right! When you are trying to behave good or help someone else, simply do it because that is what the Lord requires of you. Don’t try to draw attention to yourself as others see your actions. Be for real and let them see the Christ who lives in you. God sees you and that’s your audience, all you need. Don’t impress the crowd, impress the Lord! Have a great Tuesday! Be blessed!

This has to be a personal goal and prayerfully most will take heed and comply. It is difficult to place ourselves as judge over others’ actions. The behavior or misbehavior is for God to decide. Sometimes we do take a stand back gazing at someone who we believe is showboating. What if someone judged us as one that’s showboating when we are praising or helping from our heart. I will be careful not to join the crowd of showboaters.
