PERSONALITY

During the course of time, psychologists, social scientists, and educators have described how our personality is developed. Yes, you could visit the theories of Freud, Allport, Erikson, and you can see what medical physicians who focus on genetics have to say about personality development.

You can do all that academic research if you so choose, but if you want to know the most significant factor in positive personality development; a factor that might change how we behave, I simply want you to focus on the first six letters in the word “Personality.” Yes, focus on “Person.” Now get this, my friend. When you accept Christ, the Person who died on the cross for your sins so that you can have life; when you accept His principles for living; when you let the Helper, He left us, the Holy Spirit, have His way, your “Person” changes. When your “Person” changes, so will your personality. And it will change to be in alignment with the will of God.

Read the verse below and be reminded how your “Person” has changed or should be progressively changing to be more like Jesus. Have a great day! Be blessed!

“I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.” (Galatians 2:20 NASB)

Committed to the climb,

  1. My person has changed over the years because I have accepted Christ as my Savior. It continues to change as the Lord continues to develop me to change my thoughts, my ambitions, my perceptions, and a number of other things that help mold me, guide me, and correct me. My person has evolved so now I have a new attitude and personality. Thanks be to God.

    1. And… thanks be to The Person who lives in you. And guess what? He’s never done with any of His people as long as they live. That’s good because we can be more like Him. Thanks for your thought-out response. Be blessed!
