“Give your burdens to the Lord. He will carry them. He will not permit the godly to slip or fall.” (Psalm 55:22 The Living Bible)
According to Science Insights, emotional stimuli are any events, cues, or experiences that trigger emotional responses in the brain and body. These can be internal (e.g., memories, thoughts) or external (e.g., facial expressions, music, news events).
If we are not careful, certain emotional stimuli can have a negative impact on our well-being, producing feelings that can bring you down emotionally. How can we handle those types of stimuli, especially when we get older and tend to be more emotional? Here is the answer, taken from Philippians 3:13: “Forget what is behind you and do my your to reach what is ahead.”
If you need more help in circumventing the negative impact of emotional stimuli that brings you down, take the advice found in the scriptures above and below. Be blessed!
“As for us, we have this large crowd of witnesses around us. So then, let us rid ourselves of everything that gets in the way, and of the sin which holds on to us so tightly, and let us run with determination the race that lies before us.” (Hebrews 12:1 Good News Translation)

There is not a day that can go by without having sin hold on to you to a point that it can drag you “down” through memory lane. However, thanks be to God that He breaks that gripping chain that tries to knock you off balance of what sayeth the Lord. I’ve been set free from the power of sin, for He is in control and keeps me safe in His arms from any unwanted negative stimuli.
